Gip Meadows brings more than 25 years of investment and wealth planning experience to his holistic approach of assisting high-net-worth individuals and their families in all aspects of their financial affairs. He understands that building and mitigating risk to wealth requires extensive knowledge, experience, and open communication. He can collaborate with his clients’ current professional advisors and is willing to provide referrals for different professionals, including legal, insurance, and tax advisors, as needed.
Prior to joining Stifel in 2023, Gip served his clients at Merrill Lynch and at Wells Fargo Advisors. He became a financial advisor out of his passion to help ensure no one has to give up on their dreams due to life’s financial uncertainties, as his dad experienced. Gip’s grandfather died at the early age of 46. His dad was a 19-year-old sophomore attending Auburn University when he was forced to drop out of college to run the family farm and was unable to pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor. If only his grandfather understood the importance of having an adequate financial plan in place, life may have been much different for his dad and his family.
Gip earned a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and earned an MBA from Troy University in Dothan, Alabama. He attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2004 and holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
Active in the community, Gip serves on the board of directors for the First Baptist Foundation and the Bellroad YMCA. He has previously served on the board of directors for the Montgomery Estate Planning Council, chairman of the board for Bellroad YMCA, and chairman of the Bellroad YMCA Annual Support Campaign. Gip has also previously served on Saint James School board of directors and finance committee, serving as chairman of the board of both the Saint James School Investment & Endowment Committee and its Building & Grounds Committee.
Gip and his wife, Laura, have four children, Austin, who is married to his wife, Lucy, Hayden, Taylor, and Steadman. He also has a grandchild, Amelia. Gip, Laura, and Steadman live in Pike Road, Alabama, while his oldest three children all live in Birmingham, Alabama. Outside of the office, Gip enjoys bird and deer hunting, playing tennis, exercising, watching Auburn sports, and watching Steadman play soccer, basketball, tennis, and run cross country.
